The Reception Supervisor provides guidance and leadership to the Reception Agents (FDA), ensuring consistent and quality customer service. The front desk supervisor will resolve customer complaints by conducting a thorough situation survey and determining the most effective solutions. They will make decisions and act on common sense and brand standards. This position will assign and instruct FDAs on work details, observe performance and encourage adherence to brand standards / standard operating procedures. The position will act as the Duty Manager in the absence of the Manager and will oversee the person's Bell, Reception and Concierge operations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Oversee guest registration, room key issuance, information provision and payment processing for stay and all room movement requests in accordance with standards.
Answer the phones quickly and courteously with a pleasant, energetic voice.
Up-sell rooms when possible.
Follow and monitor the proper money handling procedures outlined in the bank contract and training manual.
Distribute mail / messages / fax according to standard operating procedures.
Anticipate guests' needs.
Conduct site visits to hotel rooms and general areas when needed.
Handle confidential information and guest information with a high degree of integrity.
Oversee bell / valet, concierge, FDAs and total guest satisfaction.
Interview, select, train and manage up to 10 employees.
Prior hotel experience required
Prior supervisory experience required
Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Preferred Microsoft Office Proficiency
Must be able to perform under pressure
Must be able to work with a team
Must be thorough
Must be able to read, write, understand and understand English
Must be available for personal interview
